You will serve as a motor vehicle operator leader in the Logistics Readiness Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PEARL HARBOR (647th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI).
Duties
You will lead motor vehicle operators and dispatchers in providing safe, timely, and efficient transportation services to Air Force units, flight crews, distinguished visitors during the assigned shift
You will pass on to other workers instructions received from supervisors and obtains needed information or decisions from supervisors on problems that arise during the shift
You will notify supervisors of simulated or actual disasters and emergency incidents
You will drive tractor trailers and/or other vehicles typically having a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of more than 32,000 pounds
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Forklift license
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a Class A Commercial Driver's License
with P and X endorsement
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a Government Operator Permit as determined by employing command
with HAZMAT certification to transport hazardous material.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
- This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to lead/supervise others who perform the full range of motor vehicle operation tasks including leading motor vehicle operator and dispatchers on providing safe, timely and efficient transportation services during assigned shifts; receive and properly requests for transportation service in the On-line Vehicle interactive Management System Dispatch Module; Monitor work in progress to ensure completion of assignments; Ensure vehicles meet preventive maintenance and inspection schedules; operate motor vehicle and drive tractor trailers and other vehicle typically having a gross vehicle weight of more than 32,0000 pounds; operate vehicle to transport supplies, materials, equipment and tools. Operate all forklifts up to 10K capacity to facilitate the lifting/moving or delivering of cargo or equipment onto trucks, trailers or within warehouses
