About the Position: Serves as the Chief, Actions Branch & principal executive administrator and advisor to the Executive Office and senior level decision makers in support of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Resources, Infrastructure and Strategy (G89) in the US Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) and the Office of The Surgeon General (OTSG) on technical and administrative matters relating to the accomplishment, coordination and disposition of a variety of substantive staff actions and assignments.
Duties
Exercises managerial responsibilities and oversight of the Actions Branch.
Establishes priority of actions based on the sensitivity of the subject matter, suspense dates and other pertinent data.
Reviews actions for conformance with guidance, thoroughness, content, tone, security markings and to ensure that issues are properly answered.
Serves as an advisor to the Executive Staff and to all Directorates and Offices under the MEDCOM.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Occasional TDY may be required.
- Supervisory probationary period may be required.
- Heavy lifting of 25lbs may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized experience: One year specialized experience which includes 1) implementing corrective actions to improve efficiency of administrative operations; 2) developing recommendations for process improvements; 3) researching policies/regulations for applicability to organization; And 4) assisting with the resolution of administrative operating problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
