About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory HR Specialist (Military) of the Plans and Operations (PLOPS) section within the Assistant Chief of Staff G1, 1st Theater Sustainment Command main headquarters.
Duties
Interpret military personnel policies and regulations.
Prepare documents to support strategic plans, new unit activation, reorganizations, and other actions.
Supervise the Plans and Operations Team.
Prepare informational briefings in the area of military human resources.
Perform the full range of supervisory duties such as assess performance, assign, and monitor work, complete hiring actions, etc.
Coordinate with action officers on various military personnel programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Secret security clearance required.
- Temporary duty (TDY) up to 25% of the time required.
- One-year probationary period may be required if not already completed in accordance with 5 CFR criteria.
- One-year supervisory probationary period may be required if not already completed in accordance with 5 CFR criteria.
- This position is deployable. Upon deployment notification, employee must be able to pass a pre-deployment physical and receive required immunizations IAW CENTCOM Surgeon's Requirements.
- IAW AR 690-11, this is an Emergency Essential position and is considered essential to support the Army’s mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increasing tension or mobilization.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Providing technical guidance regarding various military human resources programs; 2) Serving as the plans and operations subject matter expert providing technical direction and consultation; and 3) Coordinating and advising various commands regarding military personnel programs and services.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of the work performed at the next lower grade level (GS-12).
