You will serve as a Program Analyst in the Government Equipment Management Office, Program Executive Office for Ships (PEO SHIPS) of PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE SHIPS.
Duties
You will evaluate assigned Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) acquisition plans and contracts to identify any problem that may occur in meeting the production and delivery requirements.
You will analyze delivery status and after-production information to assess impact and duration of production delay.
You will function as an expert on the GFE Schedule “A” GFE requirements for a shipbuilding program.
You will evaluate production delivery status of selected systems and equipment.
You will develop and recommend options for any workarounds that may be required.
You will participate in design reviews (preliminary design reviews, critical design reviews, and transition to production reviews) for new or upgraded systems in areas of responsibility.
You will prepare, coordinate, and issue policy, directives, and procedures concerning Participating Acquisition Resource Manager (PARM) production management.
You will review proposed changes to DoD and NAVSEA guidance and regulations for impact on assigned GFE production activities.
You will analyze PARMs GFE Integrated Risk Assessment Reports for program impact and characterizes scope and severity of risk in terms of schedule, cost, and technical performance.
You will participate in GFE Working Group Meetings and Reviews.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector evaluating Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) program needs, requirements, or production activities (e.g., budget development and execution, acquisition planning or contracts, strategic planning, risk assessment reports, resources, production performance and deficiencies, and design reviews) to ensure the development, upgrade, design, procurement, or production of shipboard systems on surface ships or submarines.
