You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the PEO JSF Department (V168000) of PEO FOR JOINT STRIKE FIGHTER. Your salary will be set in accordance with the established control point of this position, which is $139,395 - $181,216.

Duties

You will coordinate and prepare official audit responses for the Chief Management Office and Chief Financial Officer. You will lead with development and preparation of Joint Program audit infrastructure, processes, and procedures. You will review and validate all financial reporting and financial/accounting transactions to ensure compliance with the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board guidelines and DoD's Financial Management Regulations. You will monitor and ensure that financial related transactions have the appropriate and sufficient documentation necessary to validate the reported value of F-35 owned property across the participants of the joint program. You will prepare and approve reports and policies regarding financial statement data reconciliations including efforts to identify and resolve abnormal balances and other data anomalies.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12/13) grade level or pay band (NH-03) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Coordinating and preparing official audit responses for a Chief Management Office and Chief Financial Officer while developing and preparing audit infrastructure, processes, and procedures; (2) Reviewing and validating all financial reporting and financial/ accounting transactions to ensure compliance with the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board guidelines and DoD's Financial Management Regulations; (3) Approving reports and policies regarding financial statement data reconciliations including efforts to identify and resolve abnormal balances and other data anomalies; (4) Performing root cause analysis to understand the causes and conditions of audit findings across the joint program; and (5) Assessing and providing strategic direction for corrective action plans to remediate audit findings and non-compliance with financial regulation, policies, and statuses.
