You will serve as Senior System Administrator at the GG-13 grade level assigned to the Hopper Global Communications Center (GCC), Telecommunications Services Division performing specialized and technical information technology (IT) services and responsibilities.
Duties
You will research, design, configure, test, implement, operate, and maintain all domains managed by Hopper Global Communications Center in accordance with mandated Information Assurance and mission requirements.
You will serve as the Project Lead gathering customer requirements and ensuring that they are met.
You will be responsible for coordination and liaison with SSO Navy, ONI ISSM, DoD, DoN, and the Intelligence Community (IC) regarding strategic enterprise assessment, planning, and operations.
You will be responsible for coordination and liaison with Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) program managers, project managers, developers, technical staff and engineers for all information technology (IT) life cycle support.
You will plan and carry out difficult and complex assignments utilizing information technology (IT) systems and services to include installation, operation, and maintenance of automated communications systems and other desktop technologies.
You will provide expertise centered around new techniques and technologies, their implementation and application across a broad spectrum of data, voice and video communications and network hardware platforms and ancillary devices.
You will perform acquisition of major systems housed on mainframe, minicomputer, and microcomputer platforms.
You will perform manipulation of data, management, movement, control, storage, display switching, interchange, transmission, quality assurance, or reception of information to meet the activities requirements.
You will diagnose, analyze and resolve information technology (IT) systems, software and/or hardware problems.
You will test and optimize the functionality of data transfers between systems, networks and data backbones.
You will ensure the interoperability and integration of information technology (IT) programs/services and develop solutions to integration/interoperability issues.
You will provide assistance and advice to users of information technology (IT) systems.
You will provide guidance to resolve processing problems.
You will conduct interviews with users and generates requirements for new or modified information technology (IT) systems/services, software and/or hardware.
Requirements

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code (451 - System Administrator), proficiency level (Advanced) the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and DoN policies.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

In addition to your experience demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS/GG-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as:
Planning difficult and complex assignments by implementing and applying new techniques and technologies, including installation, operation, and maintenance of automated communications systems and other desktop technologies.
Coordinating Information Technology (IT) life cycle support with the organizations program managers, project managers, developers, technical staff, and engineers.
Diagnosing, analyzing, and resolving problems relating to Information Technology (IT) systems, software/hardware, and develop solutions for integration/interoperability issues.
Conducting interviews with users to generate requirements for new or modified Information Technology (IT) systems, services, software, and hardware.
