About the Position: This position with the United States Army Reserves, Office of the G-6 located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Oversee the administration of personnel programs in all functional areas of personnel to include recruitment and placement, position classification, pay management, labor relations, employee relations.
Coordinate program evaluations conducted within the Army Reserve (AR) G-6.
Interpret laws, regulations, policies, and standards, and their basis or authority for decisions the impact on local programs by new or revised policies and regulations, and the resulting changes required.
Analyze missions, organizational structures, functions and work processes.
Participate in developing new mission and function statements.
Develop recommendations on new structures and manning patterns.
Conduct personnel surveys to determine the effectiveness of human resources and projects future requirements for the AR G-6.
Develop short and long-range (5 years) program planning guidance of the human resource needs of the AR G-6.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes participating in studies on matters such as internal reorganizations or establishment of geographically separated subordinate units; providing expert advice on personnel management and organizational structures and other program analysis to assist in the management decision making process; conducting management surveys to determine compliance with agency regulations, procedures, sound management practices, and effective utilization of staff; and analyzing projected workload, new programs/projects, and resources (money, skills, talent, etc.). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
