You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the ACIO/Information Technology Division of NAVSURFWARCENDLD.
The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $153,354).
Duties
You will assist in ensuring all actions are complete and the Assessment and Authorization packages are deemed satisfactory before submission to obtain authorization or accreditation, utilizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
You will assist in the lifecycle efforts to maintain authorization or accreditation including, but not limited to Annual Security Reviews.
You will work with civilian and contractor personnel (internal and external) to acquire or develop the necessary info and artifacts needed in order to consider the strategy for maintaining the vast number of IT assets.
You will help facilitate completion of applicable documentation (e.g., Risk Management Framework, Security Reviews, Interim Authority to Test, Platform Information Technology, Memo/Letters of Agreement, and firewall modification requests).
You will ensure documentation is updated as the information system is modified, or new components are added, including maintaining up-to-date information in the Internet Protocol and Accreditation database and information in various databases.
You will ensure accurate, current and complete information and data is entered and maintained in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) repository.
You will work with the Core package team, the Assessment and Authorization Team Lead and the Cybersecurity Branch Head to help develop standardized ISSO and other cybersecurity-related training as needed, required or requested.
You will assist in preparing for, and participate in, actual or simulated cybersecurity inspections.
You will assist in reviewing Firewall Modifications, Software and Hardware) Approvals, Technical Configuration Control Board Waivers, Endpoint Security Solution Waivers, Public Key Infrastructure Waivers and provide input and feedback.
You will assist in tracking hardware and software compliance, including, but not limited to support and the Department of Navy Application and Database Management System.
You will assist in monitoring and tracking IAVA compliance, ACAS scans and STIGS compliance for the Core Assessment and Authorization packages and for assets that personnel request to add to Core Assessment and Authorization packages.
You will assist in reviewing and provide input regarding IT Purchase Requests to others for consideration before approving or denying the request.
You will attend various meetings as necessary to maintain awareness, or provide guidance, direction or any other input.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 612, proficiency level Intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band, (GS-11/12 equivalency), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Ensuring compliance with security processes and procedures to support cybersecurity efforts and facilitate communication in order to maintain lifecycle efforts for authorization or accreditation.
