The new Director of the Office of Global Transactions will lead a team focusing on national security risks from global transactions, particularly those related to sensitive technologies and products crucial for military, intelligence, surveillance, or cyber capabilities of concerning countries.

Duties
As a Supervisory Financial Analyst, you will:
- Have a full range of managerial and policy responsibilities related to the Investment Security Office.
- Manage the Office's lead role in implementing the Outbound Investment Security Program, including internal office management and consultation and coordination with the interagency.
- Have a lead role in the Office's mission to address U.S. outbound investments that risk exacerbating the threat of advancement by countries of concern in sensitive technologies.
- Play a significant role in training and mentoring subordinate staff and managing administrative affairs of the Office.
- Direct the Office of Global Transactions, which will house the Outbound Investment Security Program.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience for the GS-15: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for the GS-15 includes:
- Experience planning and conducting financial research and analysis used by senior officials/executives to help develop policies or strategies regarding international investment issues; AND
- Experience developing recommendations for senior officials/executives regarding the various legal, financial, national security or policy implications of particular financial transactions; AND
- Experience developing policy/strategy legal recommendations for senior officials/executives regarding corporate merger and acquisition or other corporate transactional and governance documents.
