About the Position: This position is located in the Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE) at Joint Base San Antonio, TX under the Fielded Force Integration Directorate (FFID). This position serves within the Basis of Issue Plan (BOIP), Table of Organizational Equipment (ToE) section within the Organization Design and Documentation (ODD) Directorate of FFID as a senior Logistics Systems Analyst.

Duties

Responsible for the effective execution and operation of the medical fielded force, which is to Integrate and synchronize Army current and projected medical capabilities across the force within the Doctrine and Organization. Analyzing, developing, and maintaining non-medical materiel master data records. Working as a team member or the team lead for special projects related to non-medical logistics cataloging business processes, automated business systems, and coordinating actions and change requirements with all Business Team Leads. Evaluate, interpret, adapt, and apply available guidance to develop process resolutions and change requirements in support of medical forces.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes logistics planning, coordination facilitation and synchronization to support organization mission; experience with laws, regulations, policies and precedents which affect the use of logistics management operations; responsibilities center on data management policies and procedures, systems analyses, standardization analysis, data integrity which includes reviewing data that flows from and to medical elements; identifies methods and policies for data improvements and develops courses of action for implementation; develops, refines, and interprets policies and procedures for non-medical materiel master data that interfaces with other DoD supply organizations; Leads working groups and initiatives, coordinates the discussion with the appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SME)s to develop Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) requirements/ policy and procedures, and briefs the FFID leadership on resolution/change requirements; full range of procurement support related to recurring or standardized purchases for commonly uses supplies and services; experience related to contracting officer representative duties in order to monitor contract performance and administration; and knowledge of several logistic systems to include Force Management System (FMS), Force Management System-Web (FMS-WEB), cPROBE, Army Vantage, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Access. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
