This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence-Assets Forfeiture. As a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst, you will serve as the Treasury Forfeiture Fund' senior financial management official with the responsibility of leading a multi-functional team encompassing a wide range of complex professional, management, technical, and challenging projects which improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Fund's financial operations.
Duties
As a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst, you will:
- Plan and execute activities involving financial research, problem formulation, analyses, reporting the results of analyses and research, vetting and implementing recommended solutions or changes to current processes and procedures as well as providing oversight and staff direction to subordinate organizations concerning operating programs applicable throughout the Department.
- Conceive, plan, and manage significant large-scale projects to develop and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of significant operating programs and in planning and implementing new or improved methods of operation and management control which includes assigning work to subordinates and managing workload to improve efficiency.
- Supervise and lead collaboration of major activities, including incorporating best practices, related to the financial operations of the Fund.
- Continuously analyze and oversee financial services provided, keeping up to date on legislation changes that impact agency operations, and identify and monitor workload changes and their financial impact for short term and long-range budgetary planning.
- Provide technical expertise to senior officials on budgeting and cost estimating in conjunction with a large multi-year, multi-billion dollar acquisition program.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience for the GS-15: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following:
-Managing, analyzing, and monitoring financial plans and project timelines; AND
-Analyzing, interpreting, and applying policies or regulatory requirements; AND
-Evaluating proposed process or system changes to determine program impact; AND
-Analyzing budget requests and advising senior management on budget formulation and execution; AND
-Leading, mentoring, overseeing, or advising staff on financial plans, projects, analyses, system, or program changes.
TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
