About the Position: This position is with the United States Army Civil Affairs Psychological Operations Command, Inspector General, located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Process Inspector General Action Requests (IGARS) to resolve issues and correct deficiencies.
Receive, process and respond to complaints or requests for assistance emanating from any source such as the general public, military personnel, dependents or civilian employees.
Resolve complaints and determine appropriate course of action.
Conduct investigations into allegations such as mismanagement, fraud, waste or abuse, improper conduct, abuse of privileges or authority.
Provide for the safeguarding of all testimony, evidence and other sensitive data, and ensure the confidentiality of all individuals is properly protected.
Lead the planning and conduct of systemic inspections to determine the root cause(s) of regulatory non-compliance.
Requirements
- This position is subject to Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Incumbents must successfully graduate from the Inspector General School and maintain certification in accordance with AR 20-1 and practice IG attributes as mandatory requirements for continued employment as an Army IG.
- In accordance with AR 20-1, applicants referred for consideration will be subject to a database check against the Army Inspector General Action Request (IGARS) database to screen for substantiated and ongoing IG investigations.
- Any serious criminal activity, to include drug use, will result in the immediate removal of an employee from IG duty and loss of access to IGARS and IGNET.
