About the Position: This position is with the United States Army Reserve Command, Inspector General, Investigations Division located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Serve as subject matter expert on planning and conducting investigations and inquiries.
Plan and conduct Whistleblower Reprisal Investigations and other investigations and inquiries.
Conduct investigations and inquiries into complex and varied issues concerning allegations of individual or organizational noncompliance with regulations, policies or statutes.
Provide assistance to civilian employees and Soldiers in the resolution of personal job-related problems.
Identify allegations and results, utilizing collected documentary and testimonial evidence to substantiate or refute allegations.
Prepare investigative plans, collects and evaluates associated evidence, and prepare reports of inquiry or investigation.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- This position is subject to Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.
- This position requires the incumbent to successfully graduate from the United States Army Inspector General School and maintain certification accordance with Army Regulation 20-1.

Conducting interviews to gather information; and
Preparing recommendations for corrective action.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
