About the Position: Serves as the Logistics Management Specialist for the HQ Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Commandant Office.
Duties
Performs technical supply work involved in monitoring the supply and equipment inventory readiness to identify potential problems and corrective actions needed.
Maintains all primary and sub Hand Receipt Holders (PHRH) actions.
Requests, receives and issues property to PHRH or designated representatives.
Utilizes web based automated logistics system for printing primary Hand Receipts, Consolidated Property Listings, Sensitive Item.
Screens all inventory documents for accuracy and timely submission to the Property Book Officer (PBO).
Serves as the headquarters primary card holder for the Government Purchase Card Program (GPC).
Manages supply and services for the headquarters.
Reviews and validate all logistics related purchase requests, including those for buildings, facilities repairs and grounds.
Researches to determine the availability of supplies, equipment and services for all requirements.
Acts as the General Funds Enterprises Systems (GFEBS) Purchase Request and reconciles credit card purchases.
Reviews GPC requests and determines if requests meet established guidance prior to purchases.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Overnight Business Travel up to 10% of the time
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and access.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination, must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) monitoring the supply and equipment inventory readiness to identify potential problems; 2) Reviewing all logistics-related purchase requests for buildings, facilities repairs and grounds; 3) Conducting research to determine the availability of supplies; which includes: equipment and services for all requirements; 4) Coordinating supply requirements to provide estimates of projected requirements for management/budget purposes; 5). Reviewing and coordinating Government Purchase Card requests. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. [remove LL.M., if unrelated] with a major study in electrical or electronic engineering, mathematics, physics, public utilities, statistics, computer science, telecommunications management, information systems management, business administration, industrial management, or other fields related to the position to be filled.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.

This is a DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) position in the NH-02 broadband with an advertised pay range from the lowest equivalent GS-05 grade Step 1 to the highest equivalent GS-11 grade step 10 in the broadband. This position is covered by control points to account for variances in position responsibilities within the broadband. The Control Point for this position NH-02 Logistics Management Specialist is $40,142 to $95,665 including locality at the rate of 18.49%. Management will set the selectee's pay for this position within the control point salary range consistent with the qualifications and education of the selectee and the expected contribution for the position.
