As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.The incumbent of this position will serve as Aviation Technical Systems Manager in the National Security and Enterprise Operations (NASEO) Directorate.
Duties
The incumbent of this position reports to the Office of the Director, NASEO, AJW-B000. Manages the work of a large, multi-level organization typically through subordinate managers. Applies detailed knowledge with NAS security, risk, governance, and cyber monitoring. The Aviation Technical Systems Manager supports the Director and Deputy Director in the development of new national level operational concepts, policies, and standards to improve operational efficiency and support the operational management of emerging systems, services, and products. Participates in the establishment of high level goals, strategies, milestones, and metrics. Supports and implements NEO goals and mission objectives. Integrates work of multiple organizations to meet strategic goals of the organization and the FAA, participates in strategic planning for the FAA, and makes commitments (program, budget, etc) for a major organization.

- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

- Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
- A one-year supervisor/managerial probationary period may be required.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-K/ FG/GS-15.
