Serves as a Group Manager within the Program Management Organization (PMO), Air Traffic Systems, AJM-2000, En Route & Oceanic Second Level Engineering, AJM-2500, and will report to the Air Traffic Systems Director, AJM-2.
Duties
Serves as a Group Manager within the Program Management Organization (PMO) reporting to the Air Traffic Systems Director, AJM-2. The incumbent leads, plans and directs En Route & Oceanic Second Level Engineering (AJM-25), which provides air traffic control (ATC) facilities with the next level of system management and technical expertise for developing, maintaining and delivering software, hardware and adaptation for Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems in the PMO portfolio. These systems include but are not limited to Time Based Flow Management (TBFM), Traffic Flow Management System (TFMS), En Route Automation Modernization (ERAM), Advanced Technologies and Oceanic Procedures (ATOP), Flight Data Processing System (FOPS), and Micro-En Route Automatic Tracking System (MEARTS). PMO Second Level Engineering (SLE) plays an integral role in bringing new ATC functionalities to reality. SLE services are on the critical path to achieving near term and long-term acquisition program baseline (APB) milestones for PMO program technical refreshes, Initial Operational Capability, and In-Service Decisions.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-K, FG/GS-15 Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience includes: Experience with NAS air traffic control systems, to include automation software requirements, resolving service-wide operational problems impacting system performance of the NAS, experience managing the deployment, development, installation, implementation and sustainment of automation and traffic management, and experience with system software/hardware engineering support tasks, logistics, testing, integration and sustainment activities to successfully support the real time computer systems in the NAS.Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history.Some, all or none of the applicants may be interviewed.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.
