This position is located in the Administration Unit, Labor, Employment & Administration Section, Corporate Operations Branch, providing direct support involving financial management, data analysis and reporting, workforce planning and position management, and other advisory services.

Duties
Works closely with the Division of Finance (DOF) on the development, execution, and monitoring of the Legal Division budget, ensuring compliance with applicable corporate policy and guidance.
Oversees the implementation of Legal Division budget and finance policies and procedures. Makes recommendations for improvement of these policies and procedures to management that increase the effectiveness and strength of the internal controls over the use of Legal Division resources.
Develops and provides budget briefings to supervisor and senior management and ensures all related documents submitted to the DOF are prepared for supervisory review well in advance of the due date.
Works closely with other staff to gather data related to performance goals. Reviews for accuracy performance goal data and ensures that it is entered into the Performance Goal Reporting System in a timely manner.
Completes special reviews and analyses used to study a wide-range of complex financial problems as requested by the Legal Division managers.
Prepares and analyzes data from various computer databases and relevant sources for producing ad hoc reports and for use in complex tracking reports and spreadsheets that are utilized by the supervisor, Assistant General Counsel, Labor, Employment & Administration Section (LEAS), Deputy General Counsel, Corporate Operations Branch (COB), General Counsel and other senior managers.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13 grade level or above in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience, in all of the following areas: (1) financial data analysis and reporting; (2) budget formulation; (3) budget execution; and (4) workforce planning and position management.
