About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W49BAA US ARMY SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND.
Duties
Apply comprehensive knowledge of HUMINT, SIGINT, IMINT, MASINT, OSINT/PAI, IO, related analysis, signal processing to investigate and develop new techniques, and collection management.
Prepare analysis and short-range, mid-range, and long-range planning to close intelligence systems infrastructure gaps and create an efficient joint environment to identify and neutralize our nation's security threat.
Lead working or planning groups involved in ambiguous, ill-defined projects requiring intelligence support analysis for a myriad of multi-discipline and multi-faceted programs.
Represent the command as an All-Source Intelligence Analyst during coordination and liaison with counterparts throughout the national intelligence community, Combatant Commands, military services, and other US and foreign government agencies.
Prepare and edit integrated intelligence products, such as briefings, intelligence assessments, Special Operations Forces (SOF) feasibility assessments, intelligence estimates, target packages, and annexes to operational orders.
Evaluate employee performance, sets performance standards and provides employees counseling as required and disciplinary action for employee performance.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI) and selected Special Access Programs (SAPs).
- Requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 20% of the time for the performance of duties and training.
- Required to apply for and obtain Staff-Like-Access (SLA) in order to perform temporary duty with Other Government Agencies.
- May be required to undergo psychological screening.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as 1. Experience analyzing multi-source information to produce intelligence threat documents and briefings. AND 2. Conducting research and analysis to produce intelligence assessments and targeting packages. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12).
Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
