About the Position: Serves as a senior advisor to the Chief of Staff, Deputy and Director of Operations (G-4 3/5/7) within the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-4 (ODCS, G-4) on technical and administrative matters relating to the accomplishment, coordination and disposition of a variety of substantive program staff actions and assignments.
Duties
Initiate and ensure effective communication, coordination and follow-up actions with subordinate commands, higher headquarters, other services and Federal agencies, the Congress, private companies and professional organizations, as required.
Plan and execute a variety of functions, such duties as preparing, reviewing and analyzing correspondence; preparing briefings and charts; developing reports; tracking all directorate suspense items; and developing integrated products.
Organize, manage, and present information to include recommendations both formally and informally via oral and written means.
Serve as action officer for various special programs and projects as directed.
Provide expert advice and guidance to Division Chiefs and action officers on how best to articulate official Army decisions.
Perform Staff Action Management duties with responsibility for fully reviewing and providing recommendations on staff actions for key programs and issues relating to the ODCS, G-4 and overall missions.
Serve as the central point of contact providing authoritative advice and assistance on Directorate-wide processes and procedures including Risk Management Internal Controls (RMIC) program.

To qualify for this position you must meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes, providing effective methods to support management; recommending changes to existing administrative policies and/or procedures to improve staff operations; conducting analyses of incoming staff actions; and providing recommendations on staff actions for key programs using Enterprise Task Management Software Solution program.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
