Duties
Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist under the TACOM Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment Central Management Office (OCIE CMO).
Will analyze, develop, evaluate, and plan supply systems and programs with the goal of assuring Soldier readiness regarding OCIE and sound logistics decisions in placement and utilization of required OCIE.
Will support processing requisitions, reallocating or redistributing materiel, analyzing requirements, and recommending sustainment procurement actions.
Will assist with developing policy, developing and evaluating materiel management programs, systems, procedures, and methods.
This will typically be performed during periodic Management Assistance Visits of Central Issuing Facilities (CIF).
Investigates, coordinates, and recommends resolutions to logistics problems and deficiencies affecting smooth and orderly sustainment procurement and distribution of OCIE worldwide.
Ensures inventories of CMO owned items at the Central Issuing Facilities are properly maintained.
Identifies problem areas and recommends improvements to CIF operations.
Assesses OCIE readiness of individual units and makes recommendations to correct deficiencies.
Analyzes status of excess materiel and recommends distribution alternatives that meet readiness and fiscal guidance.
Coordinates with PEO Soldier regarding new item fielding and disposition of legacy items being phased-out and provides recommendations as to appropriate course of action.
Responsible for assembling data, analyzing facts, drawing conclusions and devising solutions to issues which will increase the effectiveness of the OCIE CMO business process.
Develops, coordinates and tracks assessment criteria, performance indicators, policies, and procedures for measuring program effectiveness on a continuing basis and at major decision points in the life cycle of equipment.
Responsible for reporting on established CIF and system-wide metrics on a periodic basis and ensuring validity of data and methodology of calculations.

- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1.) Experience reading mechanical drawings to troubleshoot electronic logistics systems. 2.) Proficient using Microsoft operating systems such as Windows 10 or higher and excel. 3.) Applying analytical methods to resolve logistics issues. 4.) Express information orally and in writing to various organizations, commands, vendors, and customers effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial). 5.) Acquire and manage data including handling data in unusual formats, converting data into usable form, aggregate and disaggregate data as needed using database or other tools.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
