The selectee for this position will serve as a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst in the Headquarters and Service Battalion of MARFORCOM NORFOLK.
Duties
You will work in development, determination, and interpretation of budgetary policies and procedures.
You will detail intensive knowledge of policies, precedents, goals, objectives, regulations, and guidelines of a functional area.
You will identify, analyze, and resolve a range of budgetary problems such as development of alternative methods of funding, formulation of budget estimates for programs in which funding requirements have changed significantly,
You will operate with a high degree of independence in carrying out budgetary and financial management responsibilities.
You will assist program managers and staff officials in interpreting the impact of and planning for financial/budgetary and program changes.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level XX certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing complex administrative, technical and profession financial services for a multi-mission organization, providing financial analysis and budget development for an organization's programs and supervising employees in the accomplishment of these duties.
