Duties

Provide expert advice and guidance on the interpretation of all aspects of congressional legislation, regulatory directives and procedural requirements for the formulation, justification and execution. Reviews and analyzes budget input from all supporting organizations: Headquarters, USASOC and all reporting activities. Serve as the funds control officer and budget analyst for formulation and execution of USASOC budget. Responsible for managing budget guidance, obligation authority, allotment, and funds distribution strategy.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes, budget oversight that includes reviewing, analyzing, and recommending approval, disapproval or modification of budget requests and justification; interpret and analyze budget guidance from higher headquarters and its impact on the command. Identifying and extracting budget execution and financial information sufficient to develop reports and analyses. Coordinate with subordinates, peers, and higher-ranking personnel within the command. Develop materials for General Officer level briefings, meetings, or conferences. Monitoring obligation, expenditure, and disbursement of funds for programs and budgetary objectives. Utilizing automated financial systems such as General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade, in the federal service (GS-12).
