The position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Capitol Building, Client Services Division, Service Center Branch. The incumbent serves as the Assistant Supervisor of the Service Center and assists the Building Services Supervisor with supervising the Inventory Management Specialist, Building Inspectors, and Purchasing Agents and provides a variety of services to the occupants of the U.S. Capitol Building and the Capitol Visitor Center.

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Candidates for the GS-9 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as having experience: (1) leading or supervising employees; (2) supporting the daily operations of a building or facility; (3) conducting inspections for cleanliness and maintenance; (4) using a Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) program; (5) procuring a variety of supplies, services, materials and equipment in support of facility maintenance projects; and (6) using various computer systems to maintain data and records.
Candidates for the GS-11 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as having experience: (1) leading or supervising employees; (2) supporting the daily operations of a building or facility; (3) conducting inspections for cleanliness and maintenance; (4) using a Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) program; (5) procuring a variety of supplies, services, materials and equipment in support of facility maintenance projects; and (6) using various computer systems to maintain data and records.
OR
A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related.
