About the Position: Works under the general administration direction of the Chief of Programs & Project Management Division who makes assignments of a very broad and general nature covering long range program plans, objectives and policies.

Duties

Apply an extensive knowledge of management concepts, principles, and practices as well as a general knowledge of the methods, practices and processes of technical disciplines. Serves as the Chief of Military Programs and Project Management Branch responsible for execution. This position is responsible for the vertical and horizontal integration products to execute Military projects and manage the program for the district. Responsible for overseeing the District's International and Interagency Services (IIS) program, ensuring that accepted and funded projects are executed in keeping with overall program objectives and goals. Responsible for the overall content and quality of Project Management System (P2) data for the Military and IIS Program. Collateral duties as the Deputy Division Chief for Programs and Project Management; oversees the Programs and Project Management Division’s Operating Budget to include financial and personnel resources. Ensure customer expectations and performance potential are compatible by assuring that customer options are clearly identified at the beginning of the project, and customer-care philosophy prevails throughout the life cycle of the project. Ensure incorporation of technical reviews to ensure of design and construction will produce quality projects that will result in customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position requires the incumbent to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon entering the position and annually, IAW DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation.
  • This position requires travel to other duty locations less than 25 percent of the time.
  • This position requires a Tier 3, Secret Clearance.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
