You will serve as a PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the COMMAND SERVICES DIVISION of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will evaluate administrative practices to ensure work is accomplished in accordance with program plans. You will review administrative instructions to determine their impact on an organization. You will maintain an up-to-date library of reference materials for program administration. You will evaluate information management programs to identify and resolve conflicting goals and objectives. You will analyze and collect administrative data to document productivity and recommend solution to problems.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Reviewing, interpreting and applying program policies and procedures in a administrative, professional or investigative position;(2) Researching to include interpretation and application of regulations, laws, and statues or related areas;(3) Demonstrating intermediate-level Microsoft Word and related office automation software experience and(4) Communicating guidelines, presenting policy and producing official documentation to support major programs, mandates or administrative requirements both orally and in writing, Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
