About the Position: Serves as primary point of contact within the Department of Preventive Medicine (DPM) at Winn Army Community Hospital
(Winn ACH) for all matters relating to administration and management. Duties are performed to relieve the professional staff of administrative
duties, to provide qualitative and quantitative data on which to make decisions regarding services provided.

Duties
Manage DPM administration according to established policies and procedures within the hospital.
Research contract conflicts; and makes recommendations depending on the complexity of the conflict.
Coordinate with HRD and CPAC regarding hiring actions, termination, pay issues, recruitments, and awards.
Coordinate with sections to order supplies and equipment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires 5 percent of travel (TDY).

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience applying knowledge of clinical practices of health care delivery systems; providing hospital automation systems, and requirements in various administrative areas such as budget, personnel and procurement; developing methods to resolve management problems affecting the effectiveness; AND developing recommendations to resolve procedural and administrative problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: business or public administration with course work in health care administration.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
