About the Position: Supervises and manages the Winn Army Community Hospital Contract Management Branch and assigned employees. Position located at Fort Stewart, Georgia
Duties
Serves as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for delivery and fixed price personal services contracts.
Analyzes and evaluates health care operations.
Facilitates the technical development of specifications from which contracted medical services can be obtained, performed and evaluated.
Analyzes develops and implements surveillance programs to monitor contractor performance.
Coordinates physician and other health care provider services to meet the needs of the medical center.
Supervises other Health System Specialists, and support personnel as assigned.
Prepares a variety of presentations, reports and statistical data.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFRPart 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually.
- Position is designated as Inclement Weather Essential. The incumbent must make every attempt to report for work on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.
- This position requires a Contract Officer Representative (COR) certification every 3 years

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) monitoring contracts within pre-award stage through awarding of the contract; (2) researching, analyzing, or developing contract statements of work; (3) analyzing or advising on health care system issues and policies; AND (4) assisting with the assignment of work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of task, and/or requirements of the assignment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
