About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance

Duties

Responsible for implementation and verification of turbine aircraft engine and component computerized testing operations. Responsible for maintenance and integrity of various types of files such as Engine Record Status and Engine History Files. Writes and maintains Quality orientated programs used for retrieval of pertinent information stored in various files for Quality Assurance Reports. Serves as a point of contact for the execution of changes and/or updates to Engine Test Records. Assist in the certification of Engine Test Cell Operators, performs complete documentation and verification of engine test runs for engines being processed in CCAD.

  • This position requires a personnel security background check (Tier 1 - Non-Sensitive, Low Risk).
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 35lbs. without assistance, and over 35 pounds with assistance from another worker or weight handling equipment.

Ability to perform common inspections. inspect engine processes, methods, techniques, testing methods, and performance measurement requirements for turbine engines as correlated to setting, and maintaining various parameters or performance curve limits required for test runs working under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Do the Work of the Position without More Than Normal SupervisionAbility to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprint reading)Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and EquipmentKnowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)Trouble ShootingUse of Measuring Instruments Physical Efforts: May require long periods of walking and standing. May be required to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance, and over 35 pounds with assistance from another worker or weight handling equipment. Working Conditions: Works primarily in air-conditioned office area. Occasional contact with fuels, oils, greases, and solvents in a ling engine parts and components. Subject to considerable noise when entering test cells. Wears safety glasses and other safety equipment as required.
