About the Position: This position supports the mission of Defense Health Agency AD Director of Staff (AD DS) Financial Operations (J-8) Facilities Enterprise and is located in San Antonio, TX. Recruitment or relocation incentives MAY be authorized for highly qualified candidates. Salary negotiation MAY be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

Conducts studies of a highly sensitive nature to solve specific problems in areas of space utilization, allocation, distribution and modification Applies space management principles to resolve key problems of planned space programs. Conduct cost negotiations with vendors or contractors. Considers what labor personnel and equipment are needed within budget. Responsible for preparation of layouts and floor plans. Design floor plans and layouts for maximum space utilization. Communicate with senior level officials to resolve unique or controversial space management/utilization problems Represent the agency in meetings and negotiations with other agencies

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
• One year trial/probationary period may be required.
