The primary purpose of this position is to perform business area analysis for the designated organization. Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing accurate analysis of business area performance measures, developing meaningful analytical tools, identifying root cause and deploying corrective actions to org personnel in the support of those measures.
Duties
Plans and conducts comprehensive analytical studies from data and information gathered from various inventory management, financial management, and production management systems.
Prepares and presents business area customer support performance targets to organizational leadership for concurrence, tracks actual performance against established goals and recommends apllicable changes.
Attends regular meetings, briefings, and conferences dealing with business areas assigned.
Supports functional team members, supervisors, Squadron, Group and Senior Leadership in formulating improvement initiatives and strategies.
Preforms background research, evaluation, and analysis to be fully prepared to actively participate and contribute to the successful accomplishment of the meeting's objectives by providing value added input and/or recommendations.
Accomplishes assigned tasks and other duties as assigned in a manner which contributes to meeting the objectives of
producing quality products and results within established time schedules.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Has or will have within 120 days at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service gathering and collecting business area data, to monitor trends, to conduct root cause analysis and deploy corrective actions and to provide meaningful metric data enabling organizational leadership to monitor and improve customer support.
Specialized experience must include applying analytical and evaluation methods and techniques to issues concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations; providing accurate analysis of key business area performance measures; developing meaningful analytical tools to determine effectiveness and efficiency; identifying root cause and deploying corrective actions to organizational personnel in support of those measures; applying knowledge of business areas to include at least, inventory management, financial management, supply chain management and production management; monitoring organizational trends; providing metric data enabling organizational leadership to monitor and improve customer support; developing recommendations to resolve problems of work operations; planning and carrying out projects to improve the efficiency and productivity of the organization.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
General knowledge of a wide range of Wholesale Supply Chain Management principles, processes, concepts and methodologies to effectively apply analytical and evaluation methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning their efficiency and effectiveness.
Practical knowledge of inventory management, financial management, and production management business areas related to the planning, budgeting, and execution of customer requirements.
Basic knowledge of USAF supply and maintenance systems such as the Secondary Item Requirements System (D200), Execution and Prioritization of Repair Support System (EXPRESS), Contractor Asset Visibility (CAY), and Purchase Request Process System (PRPS).
Skill in collecting, organizing, analyzing and reporting data for the purpose of identifying negative trends, root cause analysis, and the development of corrective actions and/or process improvements.
Skill in facilitating diverse groups, resolving problems between internal and external organizations, and executing the most effective process solutions and management considerations.
Ability to utilize data gathering techniques, to analyze and organize data from multiple data systems, and present data in a logical, meaningful, and executional format.
Ability to effectively utilize oral and written communication, to interact with team members, supervisors, Group and Senior Leaders, and external organizations, negotiate complex issues while maintaining good working relationships.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
