You will serve as the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.

Duties

You will plan, organize, and direct the activities of the command. You will be responsible for the organization, personnel, and resource management of the command. You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities. You will be responsible for determining the numbers, types, and grades of the civilian workforce. You will ensure that the Trident Refit Facility, Bangor, physical plant including buildings, dry docks, piers, equipment, and tooling is properly maintained and modernized. You will be responsible for determining the amount, type, and phasing of indirect and direct material funding and man days required to perform the TRFB mission. You will be responsible for evaluating industrial and administrative processes and improving them as required to ensure they are effective and efficient. You will be responsible for development and execution of the TRFB strategic plan.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing executive-level direction for the planning, coordination and execution of operations in support of command-wide programs and initiatives.
