Duties
You will apply knowledge of technical and legal terminology of contracts involving Facility Support
and BOS contracts in order to apply the terms of the contracts in contract preparation.
You will Assist Acquisition with developing the Management and Oversight Process for the Acquisition
of Services (MOPAS), responding to RFIs, participating in site visits, and preparing
amendments.
You will Reviews FSC contract documents for conformance with FAR and Navy regulations for
completeness, contractibility, practicability and scope.
You will Obtain and verify inventory from available systems, e.g., NFADS, GRX and MAXIMO.
You will conduct market research for unusual and hard-to-procure items in order to provide a suggested source of supply.
You will visit work sites to gain additional information pertaining to the scope of work, amount and type of labor and materials and any special requirements.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Using a wide range of contracting procedures, methods, types, and clauses specific to construction/ maintenance of facilities; utilizing technical and legal terminology of contracts to apply in contract preparation; performing building and grounds maintenance and other general maintenance and service; AND evaluating price/cost data and preparing cost analysis/estimates.
