You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST (Dept Technical Acquisition Specialist) in the EOD Dept (D) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV.
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.
Duties
You will serve as the Lead Technical Acquisition Specialist (TAS) for the EOD Department, ensuring that material and services required by the department's mission are procured within budget and on schedule.
You will support the Department Head in fulfilling his/her accountability and responsibility in achieving overall Department goals as it relates to acquisitions and on-time delivery.
You will interact regularly with Department Senior Leadership and be responsible for assessing the Department’s acquisition health and will advise the Department Head at least quarterly on status.
You will provide guidance and will interface with senior leaders and managers in the Department to create and manage the acquisition strategy for the department that meets the department's needs based on funding and acquisition.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating technical project requirements to develop and implement procurement strategies ensuring compliance with policy and regulation for an acquisition program.
