This position is located under the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in Washington, District of Columbia.

Qualifications

To qualify for 13, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Examples of specialized experience include: Developing, analyzing and selecting of appropriate information and presentation of the information in a form and at a level suitable for the intended audience. Preparing or editing work products, reconciling contradictions in information, ensuring that conclusions reached are consistent with facts presented and recommending major revisions when necessary. Writing and editing projects require an extensive understanding of the subject matter and knowledge of presentation format, construction and language. Researching and analyzing pertinent laws, regulations, policies and programs, and utilizing knowledge of related information previously released to ensure complete and accurate information is presented. Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP). The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
