About the Position: This is a developmental position which provides non-competitive promotion potential up to the GS-07 level if all requirements are met. Management may fill the position at either grade level.
Duties
Establishes workflow and functional assignments and distributes work to meet demands.
Manage Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) team operations to ensure objectives are met by means such as team member notification, coordinating facility use, and unit arrival and demobilization processing.
Coordinate the effective operation of military personnel workstations during Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP), including strength accounting, personnel records, separation processing, and identification (ID) cards and tags.
Prepare documentation such as reports, statistical analysis, and briefings for military personnel programs.
Coordinate with higher headquarters and other installations to resolve processing and data accuracy problems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Employee must be willing and able to travel in military and commercial aircraft and vehicles.
- Employee may be required to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.

Specialized Experience GS-06: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) updating military personnel records, processing Soldier actions and reassignment permanent change of station orders all using the Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army (IPPS-A), (2) creating Installation Level In/out Processing schedules using the Installation Support Module, (3) generating separation and retirement DD214s and separation orders using Transition Processing (TRANSPROC) (4) issuing the Common Access Card (CAC) and USID ID Card in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System DEERS and updating Soldiers and family members eligibility in the DEERS. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-5).
Specialized Experience GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) processing and managing Soldiers' Military Personnel records, (2) conducting records accountability, (3) ensuring accurate and timely updating and processing military personnel actions, (4) processing retirement applications for Soldiers retiring, and (5) preparing the DD Form 214 and separation/retirement orders in TRANSPROC. (6) experience in using the Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army (IPPS-A), and interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System (IPERMS). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-6).
