You will serve as a Supervisory Policy and Standards Division in the Training and Education Command of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.

Duties

You will direct all major operating functions of the division. You will provide oversight of all programs of record throught their lifecycle. You will direct the development and implementation of strategic, operation, and tactical plans at the organization, command, and Service levels. You will direct preparation and establishment of internal procedures and division directives. You will reviews and recommend training initiatives/projects/program estimates to assure that resources support training objectives and works to secure funding through standard and non-standard mechanisms You will evaluate balance and integration among various training and education initiatives/projects/programs, provide analysis, and resolve or provide recommendations/solutions to problems. You will evaluate subordinate supervisors and serves as their reviewing official or higher level reviewer on evaluations of both supervisory and nonsupervisory employees.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing, implementing, and evaluating training and readiness programs and managing a training and education program.
