This position is located in the Scheduling (PTKS) group, Scheduling Coordination (PTK) organization of Bulk Marketing
(PT), Power Services (P), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).
This position serves as a Senior Scheduling Support Lead in the development of improvement and changes in complex scheduling policies, processes and systems and in business process engineering initiatives, analyses, and activities.
Duties
As a Public Utilities Specialist, you will:
Serve as a technical expert in scheduling. Participate in the identification, design, development and implementation of more efficient methods to deliver scheduling products and services and in the development and implementation of new policies and processes.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives in the organization, and/or functions as an expert on business process reengineering teams.
Develop plans, goals, and objectives for the long-range implementation and administration of changes in Scheduling Coordination and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of those changes.
Assist in resolving complex scheduling issues with Preschedule and Transfer Scheduling, ATF, Management and other Scheduling or Power Service clients and customers.
May prepare reports, documents, data or other materials to support innovation of new scheduling applications.
Work with staff and Management to create and maintain a professional, collaborative team oriented atmosphere characterized by innovation, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Scheduling power utilizing transmission in cost effective manner; 2) Managing daily transmission portfolio efficiently and cost effectively; and 3) Assisting the Trading Floor in pathing market purchases to meet transfer loads.
