The Program Support Assistant is located Coatesville VA Medical Center. The position is assigned to the Connected Care Program in the Associate Director for Patient Care Services Service Line in the Coatesville VAMC and is under the direct supervision of the Connected Care Nurse Manager.
Duties
Duties of the position include but are not limited to:
Maintains calendar of appointments for meetings, conference calls and other various scheduled activities.
Coordinates administrative functions with the Connected Care Facility Manager.
Prepares and distributes copies of documents and materials.
Compile and prepare accurate reports of pending consults, patient need, scheduling problems, as well as demand estimates.
Compiles data for provider monitors that include workload, wait times, missed opportunities, medical record completion, customer satisfaction, continuing education, and training requirements, as well as other data identified.
Assists management and patient care teams with ensuring timely completion of medical record.
Work Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 04/11/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: 1) Operating a variety of types of software, e.g. database, spreadsheet, and word processing; and knowledge of the similarities, differences, and integration of the different software, 2) Resolve recurring problems by recognizing the dimensions of the problem involved, collect the necessary information, establish facts, and take or recommend actions based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines, 3) Utilize mail handling procedures (time stamping, sorting and handling items marked "special-please expedite" and congressional mail, etc.).

Physical Requirements: The work is mostly sedentary, but also demands some standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying of, clinical folders, forms, and miscellaneous supplies to various locations within the medical facility.
