You will serve as a Equipment Specialist (Electrical and Ordnance) in the Weapons Engineering Division of the In-Service Engineering (ISE) and Integrated Logistics Support Department of Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Keyport, Washington (NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA).
Duties
You will review, analyze, and evaluate deficiency and failure reports.
You will plan, develop, coordinate and present briefings to Department of Defense (DoD) civilian and military personnel.
You will revise and assist ISE logistics branch on changes to allowance lists, provisioning documents, or other designations of tools, parts and components necessary for the efficient operation and repair of equipment and systems.
You will assist engineering in all phases of operational and maintenance of the Lightweight Torpedo, Vertical Launch System (VLS) and Vertical Launch Anti-submarine Rocket.
You will provide on-site maintenance assistance on installed Support and Test Equipment as required for support of production and maintenance.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current certification in accordance with the NAVSEA Ammunition and Explosives Qualification Certification Program.
- You will be required to participate in Torpedo Certification Examining Board inspections.
- You will be required to participate in NUWC, Division Keyport Product Line Center Audits.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting engineering in the operation and maintenance of the lightweight torpedo, Vertical Launch System (VLS) and Vertical Launch Anti-submarine Rocket for support of test equipment (e.g., acquisition, installation and check-out, operational support, end of life).
