You will serve as an Equipment Specialist (Electronics) in the Fleet Support Branch of the Theater Undersea Warfare Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Cyber and Intelligence Systems Division of the Unmanned and Theater Undersea Warfare Systems Department of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA.

Duties

You will provide standard equipment support for AN/UYQ-100 Undersea Warfare-Decision Support System (USW-DSS) and/or AN/SQQ-34 Aircraft Carrier-Tactical Support Center (CV-TSC), and other Integrated Warfare Systems complex networks assigned. You will support equipment installations at Navy Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Enterprise Networks within Navy SCI Facilities (SCIF) globally. You will develop plans and schedules, estimate resource requirements, define milestones and deliverables, monitor activities, and evaluate and report on accomplishments. You will review schematics, implementation, and maintenance to carry out assignments, and support operations of Combat Systems and Command and Control (C2) Systems import or underway in support of Navy Operations.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating technical requirements of electronic weapons equipment or systems to plan or modify maintenance and installation procedures of warfare systems to support the combat readiness of an organization..
