This position is located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision, Capital Markets & Accounting Policy Branch of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) performing assignments with a focus on accounting, auditing, regulatory reporting, disclosure, and matters involving climate-related financial risks & other emerging, novel, or complex risks.

Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. CG-14: To qualify at the grade 14 level, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 13 level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing analysis of bank examination policies or issues in a regulatory or banking environment, identifying areas of policy affecting risks in the financial system that require updating or revision, and drafting policy summaries, position papers, or memoranda.
CG-15: To qualify at the grade 15 level, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 14 level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience analyzing the policy implications of legislative and regulatory proposals that affect the functions and responsibilities in the banking industry, financial industry, or regulatory community; developing, or assisting in the development of, regulatory proposals or organizational policies pertaining to financial and accounting disclosures; and advising senior management officials on policy interpretations and matters relating to accounting, regulatory reporting, and disclosure.
