Duties

Serves as one of two Cyber Resilience Branch Chiefs, assigned to either the Assured Logistics Cyber Center (ALCC) or the IT Contingency Planning Branch, located in the DLA Information Operations, Cybersecurity/Cyber Resilience Division. Responsible for the overall development, implementation, and supervision of the assigned subordinate workforce. Manages, coordinates, leads and directs the work of the office to plan, design and provides overall program management for the integration of Cyber Resilience efforts with Enterprise Risk Management, Operations and Mission Assurance. Responsible for the development and maintenance of all applicable branch policies, processes and procedures. Maintains supervisory oversight over a number of complex, multi-faceted functions within Cyber Resilience which include; maintaining, managing and orchestrating the agency cyber project management and integration initiatives. Responsible for the day-to-day and long-range planning and implementation of the appropriate branch actions and activities across the DLA Enterprise.

Qualifications

To qualify for as a Supervisory IT Specialist (PLCYPLN/INFOSEC), your resume and supporting documentation must include: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Creates working groups and coalitions consisting of representatives for the development and revision of branch policy, processes, procedures and assurance of acquiring all essential documentation include complex business rules and rules of engagement which have broad impact within and across IT environments. Oversees the technical review and the development of all documentation, associated artifacts and templates required to facilitate the appropriate actions and activities required for assigned branch personnel, with careful consideration of the overall capability, operational, system, service and standards viewpoints. Identifies cyber equities, plan, synchronize, rehearse, and exercise mission assurance readiness. Integrates scope, time, quality, documentation, and budget as required, and informs Enterprise Risk Management of project status and hindrances through execution, closure, and/or future readiness. Coordinate, escalate, integrate, and declare cyber risks. Conduct analysis identifying and discovering cascading, compounding, and collateral Cyber vulnerabilities and effect. Maintains, manages and orchestrates the agency's IT Contingency Governance/Planning and Recovery (ECMG) processes; ensure the effective development of comprehensive IT strategy and plan to facilitate and meet all strategic business objectives by designing and implementing standard processes. For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed: 1. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
