Duties
Prepares detailed plans, budgets, and schedules for assigned programs and/or participates with management in fiscal planning; formulates annual and multi-year budget estimates; responsible for integrating requirements.
Assists the organization with programming, analysis, and control of funds; evaluates program funding plans and their execution, identifying actual or potential problem areas.
Works closely with Operation Division management in making revisions to budgets based on increases or decreases to funding levels and changes in mission requirements.
Completes phased execution plans and budget execution ensuring accuracy, completeness, and conformance with established policy.
Verifies, analyzes, and evaluates financial estimates and justification for assigned activities operating budget, including annual funds requests.
Investigates reasons for deviations, obtaining additional information as needed. Analysis provides reasons for deviations from projected budget and suggests corrective actions to balance budget.
Completes and analyzes monthly financial reports

Specialized Experience: Candidate must have experience in national emergency programs such as Stafford Act, Public Law 84-99, and/or Public Law 93-288 and have demonstrated experience in one or more emergency response activities either at the home duty station or on deployment as a senior team member

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
