This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This Supply Technician position is located at the Field Support Division, Fort Huachuca Field Office, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Duties
Serve as the Senior Supply Technician, coordinating all work order requisitioning requirements, receipt, storage, issue, inventory management and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
Coordinate all work order procurement and keeping up-to-date with work actions.
Serve as Government Purchase Card (GPC) holder, ensures acquisitions comply with mandatory source requirements and that card purchase and payment do not exceed allowable limitation.
Analyze changes in customer demand patterns and new equipment and supplies that create new supply requirements.
Operate a Government vehicle with a gross of less than 10,000 pounds in and out of the installation to pick up and deliver supplies, parts, materials, and equipment.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This position may require Temporary Duty (TDY)/business travel of up to 25% of normal duties.
- You will be required to pass a pre-employment medical examination and annually thereafter.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state drivers license.
- You must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Validate all high priorities requests ensuring parts ordered are in accordance with appropriate Army maintenance regulations: (2) Manage the Recoverable Item Management Program by monitoring all recurring and nonrecurring exchange-pricing requisitions within the Funds Control Module (FCM); (3) Plan and supervise periodic inventories of items, investigates inventory shortages and provides results of findings whenever discrepancies occur; and (4) Overseeing and managing all organization Government International Merchant Purchase Authorization Card credit card transactions to include fund availability. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
