This INSPECTIONS SPECIALIST (SUPERINTENDENT) position is located in an Air National Guard (ANG) Wing Inspector General (IG) Office and is part of the CA 129 RQW.
Duties
THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE POSITION
Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered.
The primary purpose of the INSPECTIONS SPECIALIST (SUPERINTENDENT), GS-1801-12, is to oversee various completed IG activities, develop policies, and advise the Wing IG on effectively implementing The Inspection System, to include the Commanders' Inspection Programs (CCIP), as well as the Complaints Resolution, and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) Programs.
Qualifications
General Experience: Possess experience in working within the definitions of laws, regulations, and policies; Experience in working the military inspection programs and basic understanding of military missions, service structures, capabilities, and organizational functions; Experience in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to analyze the self-assessment program plans; Experience in developing training materials and instructing others in the basic inspector general program elements, activities and procedures.
INSPECTIONS SPECIALIST (SUPERINTENDENT), GS-1801-12: Must have 36 months experience in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to analyze the self-assessment program plans; Must have expert knowledge of all applicable Inspector General Program principles and practices related to federal civilian, military, and National Guard, operational, administrative and technical programs; Experience in developing training materials and instructing others in the basic inspector general program elements, activities and procedures; Experience in conducting interviews, reading reviews, and evaluating situations or conditions; Experience with various office automation software programs, to include specific inspector general forms, tools, and techniques; Experience and confident in communication skills, both written and oral; Experience in interpreting and executing policies using general guidelines and precedents; Experience in identifying and developing ways to resolve problems, implementing corrective actions and providing realistic data for leadership to improve operational mission plans; Experience in meeting with senior military and civilian leadership, high-ranking managers.
