This DIRECTOR OF INSPECTIONS is located in an Air National Guard (ANG) Wing Inspector General (IG) Office and is part of the CA 129 RQW.
Duties
THIS IS A T5 EXCEPTED SERVICE INDEFINITE POSITION
Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered.
The primary purpose of the DIRECTOR OF INSPECTIONS, GS-1801-12, is to serve as the focal point for interpreting, developing, and implementing Air Force inspection policy and wing-level long-range strategic plans. Provides direction and oversight of internal and external inspections, audits, evaluations, reviews, exercises, and analyses to determine unit effectiveness and efficiency. Ensures operational, contingency, and mobilization plans adhere to policy and direct the effective use of wing resources.
Qualifications
DIRECTOR OF INSPECTIONS, GS-1801-12: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-11 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Experience evaluating and processing inspection/investigation deficiencies; Experience developing and updating internal office protocol and guidelines; Experience performing long range planning and analysis; Conducting interviews and data gathering assignments in the administrative and management areas; Determining responsiveness of organizational replies and adequacy of response/corrective actions taken on reported deficiencies resulting from reports of general, procurements and technical inspections/ inquires/investigation; Experience processing complaints and requests for assistance emanating from personnel within the State and investigates or inquires to substantiate alleged or suspected instances of non-compliance of individuals or organization with laws, rules, regulations, executive orders, or other mandatory regulatory requirements.
