About the Position: Fort Stewart/Hunter AAF is a southern living station of choice with great climate, easy commuting, no parking fees, good schools, and many surrounding historic sites. Fort Stewart is located approximately 42 miles from Savannah Georgia, one of America's most picturesque and historically rich cities.

Duties

Develop projects for the maintenance, repair and construction of complex nonstandard building systems, utility systems or components of these systems. Interpret basic design data and/or review completed plans and specifications to identify discrepancies or to detect omissions. Validate cost estimates format, completeness and pricing. Review engineering drawings, plans, specifications, standards, regulations and other applicable references to develop detailed scopes of work for assigned projects. Utilize engineering technician skills and knowledge in the inspections of facilities and associated systems. Ensure Engineer Technician technical monitors are knowledgeable of all EPA, CDPHE, State and Local regulations pertaining to the contract.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Background Investigation is required.
  • Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to assist agencies and employees to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • This position requires a pre-employment medical examination and annual thereafter.
