This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of General Counsel.
Duties
As a Budget and Financial Analyst, you will:
Perform a variety of technical assistance duties required in support of and in carrying out the fund controls, budget, and procurement for the Office of General Counsel (OGC), requiring substantial knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, procedures, and other requirements.
Assist the Budget and Finance Officer in budget planning, formulation, execution, and reconciliation.
Act as Funds Verification Official per OGC's Funds Control Plan.
Compile data and prepare a variety of periodic and special statistical or narrative reports at the request of the Director, Budget and Contracts Division.

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Experience managing the formulation, justification, and execution of a budget and serving as a technical authority on the long-range funding needs for an entire Agency/Organization or a major program/component.
Examples of such experience may include:
Developing and implementing policies regarding budget that affects the financing of programs; OR
Developing and recommending appropriation language changes regarding budget changes; OR
Formulate procedures for budgetary allocations and controls and other financial actions.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
