About the Position: Serves as the Supervisory Management Analyst assigned to the U.S. Army Force Management Support Agency (USAFMSA) Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) Division responsible for planning, directing, controlling, and exercising operations functions for mission objectives by assigned personnel. This position resides with USAFMSA, a Field Operating Agency (FOA) of Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA), Deputy Chief of Staff, G 3/5/7, Ft. Belvoir, Virginia.
Duties
Approve a portfolio of manpower and equipment requirements and authorizations documents for the 2500 organizations in the US Army with TDA, Augmentation TDA (AUGTDA), Mobilization TDA (MOBTDA), Common Tables of Allowances (CTA)
Provide the Inherently Governmental Commercial Activities Report for the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) and the Congress to Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Manpower and Reserve Affairs with highly technical accuracy.
Provide advice to the Division Chief (GS-15 Supervisory Management Analyst).
Provide a wide range of leadership and technical and program management expertise to accomplish the major task of force documentation within the larger framework of force management.
Provide guidance and advice to HQDA Staff (Army Secretariat and ARSTAF), Army Commands (ACOM), Army Service Component Commands (ASCC), and Direct Reporting Units (DRU).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) business travel may be required approximately twenty five percent (25%) of the time. Must be able to travel overnight within 1 to 2 weeks’ notice and operate a rental car while traveling.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes provides force documentation systems support, analyzes manpower and equipment requirements, analyzes authorizations and technical documentation procedures, and manages the work of team members. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
