Duties
This position is part of the DoD, Department of Defense . The incumbent will be responsible for working as a Program Analyst in support of Senior Acquisition Analysts with providing recommendations to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) leadership on all matters related to acquisition of program requirements across the Missile Defense System (MDS) applying MDA directives, procedures, guides, etc. such as those referenced in the Comprehensive Acquisition Process (CAP).
As a Program Analyst at the NH-0343-3 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Supports higher graded specialists who serve as planner, analyst, and advisor to agency management on program cost analysis, annual/multi-year and long-range fiscal/program planning, and/or commercial issues for key agency programs.
Ensure that MDS program/project requirements are properly identified, budgeted, and acquired in accordance with Agency and DoD acquisition regulations and policies.
Assess, manage, and eliminate risk related to program cost, schedule and performance.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the NH-03 broadband level if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:
Experience with the acquisition of products and services supporting a major weapon system; OR
Advising leadership on program, product, or project strategies pertaining to program cost, schedule, and performance; OR
Applying systems acquisition processes, policies, procedures, and practices pertaining to cost, schedule, and technical assessments of acquisition programs.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
